Hannah Williams Biography
Hannah Williams is a self-taught artist from Upstate NY. Her influences growing up have been a wide array of artists from the impressionist movement to modern visionary art. Artistic family members also served as mentors along the way. Although self-taught, Hannah has studied under established local artists in her community, taking private art lessons and specialized art classes at SUNY Adirondack. From 2016-2017 Hannah was a scenic artist at Adirondack Studios in Argyle NY. Where she and her coworkers painted over 60,000 Square ft. in murals for an amusement park. She is also a freelance artist that has painted several murals in her community as well as “live paintings” in front of audiences at various music festivals, the highlight being Mysteryland USA at the notorious Bethel Woods with over 50,000 people in attendance. With this culmination of experiences, she is constantly working on her own body of work. Hannah mostly focuses on portraiture, merging women figures with natural/spiritual subjects. She hopes to narrow in on and personalize her style, creating a new series of works diving more into the realm of femininity.
