Eva C. Heim

Eva Heim was born in a village in South West Germany, in 1973. She has loved anything that has to do with drawing, painting, art and creativity for as long as she can remember. This interest was further developed when she opted to do a BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art and Design at the Norfolk Institute of Art and Design in Norwich in 1993. After completing her degree in England, she went on to study fashion design in Pforzheim, Germany and finished her studies there in 1998 with a diploma on the theme of „Natural Patterns“. This question on „Natural Patterns“ and how all things are connected still features prominently in Eva’s work to the present day. “What is the pattern that connects the crab to the lobster and the orchid to the primrose, and all four of them to me? And me to you?” Gregory Bateson Eva worked as a Designer and Product manager for several years in the fashion industry and is now partner of a lingerie business together with her two sisters. She combines the work for the family business with an intense research into her fine art projects.
